Awareness session on 'Growing up in a Healthy Way' for students of Oakridge International School

Fortis Hospital, Mohali, organized an awareness session on ‘Growing up in a Healthy Way’ for students Class 5th of Oakridge International  School, Mohali. Over 43 students accompanied by 2 teachers attended this session. Dr Swati Gupta, Consultant, Paediatrics, interacted with the students. She touched upon the physical, mental and nutritional aspects of adolescents. She sensitized the students that good hand hygiene is of prime importance in preventing infections. Hand washing, when done correctly, is the single most effective way to prevent the spread of communicable diseases in both children and adults. She also discussed  about the physiological, mental and emotional changes during adolescence.
