Pro-Social Peer Moderator Programme launched at Fortis Mohali
Fortis Mohali successfully conducted the Pro-Social Peer Moderator Programme, as a part of the Fortis School Program by Department of Mental Health and Behavioural Sciences, Fortis National Mental Health Program. The program aimed at imparting life-skills to school children to weather plethora of social influences for a healthy and adaptive behaviour in their formative years. Students from 15 tricity schools participated in the inaugural session.
Dr Samir Parikh, Director, Mental Health & Behavioural Sciences, welcomed the students and shared the concept behind Pro-social Peer Moderator Programme.
Dr Hardeep Singh, Senior Consultant, Mental & Behavioural Health & Psychiatry, discussed how these workshops can help in healthy all round personality development. Ms Divya Jain, Counselling Psychologist, Mental Health & Behavioural Sciences, educated the audience on how to inculcate safe media practices. She also taught specific skills one must possess to differentiate between reliable sources of information and how it can help in decision making.
