The discussions ranged from hospital acquired infections to management of such infections. This year the theme was around the challenges faced in day to day practice ranging from antimicrobial stewardship, superbugs, hospital and community outbreaks to making a business case in IP&C to convince the administrators. We received a very enthusiastic response with a record participation from 23 hospitals and 93 outstation delegates (including from Mauritius).
