Fortis Hospital, Anandapur partners with Tata Steel 25k Kolkata Marathon

Fortis Hospital, Anandapur was the official medical partner for Tata Steel Kolkata 25k Marathon, the largest running event of the city, held on Sunday 17th December 2017. With 13,730 participants of all age groups on the track, the medical team of Fortis Hospital, Anandapur ensured that there was complete medical set up in place for assistance of the runners.

  The medical team, comprising of 80 Emergency Physicians, Orthopedics, Nurses, Physiotherapists and Emergency Medical Technicians, was spread over 6 medical centers and a medical base camp across the 25k route. Six ‘bike ambulances’, carrying doctors, were on the move with the runners, to provide immediate medical care in case of minor emergencies. In addition to these, three fully equipped Advance Critical Life Support (ACLS) ambulances were placed at strategic locations along the 25kms track to transport any patients, in serious medical conditions, to the hospitals without much delay.
