Health talk by Dr Manish Ahuja -Urologist on ‘Common Urological Problems Among Elderly’ held for CGPA members

Dr Manish Ahuja, Consultant- Urology, presented an informative talk on ‘Common Urological Problems’ for the members of Central Govt Pensioners Association. Over 75 members attended the talk. Addressing the audience, Dr. Manish said that urological issues are the third most common type of complaint in patients 65 years of age or older and account for concerns in the elderly population. He also explained that these are age related problems which require immediate concern and stressed upon the need for undergoing simple tests at regular intervals to keep these diseases at bay. He threw light on various problems associated with enlarged prostate and various diagnostic tools to assess the problem. He also made the audience aware about Holmium Laser & Robotic Urology Surgery-the latest techniques available at Fortis now-a-days to tackle urological issues. He discussed the benefits of these types of surgeries over other prevailing surgeries. The talk was followed by a number of queries. The talk was well received by the audience.
