‘Healthy Tiffin Contest’ on the occasion of National Nutrition Week held

To mark  National Nutrition Week Celebrations and to sensitize the younger generation about the importance of good nutrition, a Healthy Tiffin Contest was organized for the students of Saupins School, Mohali .Over 45 students participated in the contest. Dr Parvinder Chawla, Senior Consultant- Internal Medicine & Mrs  Neeru Juneja, an owner of Indulgence Bakery, were the Chief Guests and judges on the occasion. Dt Sonia Gandhi, Head- Department of Clinical Nutrition, welcomed the audience.

Dt Sonia encouraged the audience to follow healthy eating practices and modify the wrong eating patterns at home for better nutrition and health of the entire family. The students were also  asked to take a pledge to eat healthy.   Children brought healthy food in their tiffin and spoke a few lines on why the food is healthy. The effort and hard work of children and their mothers was highly commendable. Our worthy judges Dr Parvinder Chawla & Mrs Neeru found it difficult to choose the winner. Mr Abhijit Singh, Zonal Director, Fortis Hospital Mohali, gave away the prizes.
