Jagriti session on Oral health at MGD school

As a focused initiative on adolescent health issues, Fortis Escorts Hospital, Jaipur had launched, ‘Jagriti’ initiative for enhancement of students’ mental health and parenting for students at MGD school. The October month’s session focused on Oral Hygiene where an interactive session was conducted for 201 students of 8th standard. The session was addressed by Dr. Rati Bohra, Sr. Consultant, Dentistry and Dr. Bhupesh Yadav, Sr. Consultant, Dentistry. It focused meaning of oral hygiene, its importance, cleaning of teeth, removing plaque, flossing, tongue cleaning, healthy snacks for teeth, harmful foods for teeth, time to brush, tips on do’s and don’ts.

During the parenting session Dr. Rati Bohra discussed and resolved the queries of parents on oral hygiene, cleaning, myths related to cleaning, different dental procedures. Thereafter, one to one counselling was also provided to 17 adolescents by Dr. Rati Bohra, Dr. Bhupesh Yadav and Ms. Apurva Mathur, Psycologist.
