Prevalence of heart disease high in HP’s young: Dr Mahant

In a press conference organized in Himachal Pradesh, Dr TS Mahant, Executive Director, CTVS, said that the young population of Himachal Pradesh are increasingly falling to the incidence of cardiac ailments at an alarming rate. Sharing his insights into the prevalence of heart disease in the hill state, he identified unhealthy diet and tobacco consumption as major reasons for declining cardiac health in the state.
