Seminar on ‘Obesity & Bariatric Surgery'

Fortis Hospital, Mohali organised an Obesity Awareness Workshop for the general public, where Dr. Saurabh Sharma, Consultant -  Dept of Minimal Access & Robotic Bariatric Surgery was the Keynote Speaker.

Dr. Sharma interacted with patients on problems caused by Obesity. He shared that Obesity is a chronic disease, which should not be ignored as it leads to serious health problems such as Diabetes, Hypertension, Cardiovascular Diseases, Arthritis and certain types of  Cancer. He gave tips to tackle with Obesity and live a healthy life.

He further added that a good lifestyle modification with good diet and exercise as per body requirement can certainly help to curb obesity. The talk was followed up by a free check-up camp. A total 10 persons attended the camp & talk.
