Team from Fortis Hospital Anandapur wins the Gold Plate in the The Telegraph CC&FC Corporate Cricket Tournament

The 6-member team from Fortis Hospital, Anandapur emerged Gold Plate winners at The Telegraph Cricket 2018 CC&FC Invitational 6-A-Side Corporate Cricket Tournament.

   This tournament is a yearly event and this year, it was held from February 27th – March 29th 2018. This year, a total of 68 teams participated in the tournament, vying for the Gold Plate, Silver Plate and Bronze Bowl. Some of the prominent teams which were a part of the tournament this year were Air India, Times of India, GKB, Ernst n Young, Century Ply, Tata Motors, Capgemini, Reliance, Manyavar and Axis Bank. The Fortis team beat all the other teams that they competed against, to reach the finals. 

   The final match, held on March 29th 2017, was between Fortis Hospital and Exide Industries. The Fortis Team batted first scoring 62 runs for 4 wickets in their 5 overs, whereas, Exide Industries was restricted to 46 runs at the loss of 2 wickets in 5 overs. After this well-deserved victory, the ecstatic teams had a celebration on the field itself with the supporting members. This was followed by an official prize distribution ceremony, where all the team members were handed over a memento each and a Gold Plate was presented to the winning team.
