Celebrating Motherhood on Women’s Day
In the spirit of International Women’s Day, The Nest, the maternity centre at Fortis Hospitals, Banerghatta Road, celebrated the joy of motherhood by conducting a “Best of The Nest” Fashion Show for the expectant mothers. The show was conducted to provide a chance to the expected mothers to show case their unique talents, do a ramp walk and participate in a funky quiz contest among a host of other fun activities.
“Women during pregnancy go through a lot of mental, physical and hormonal changes. Research shows that the healthy mental state is extremely important for the expected mothers for her child’s bright future. Therefore, through such events we hope to reduce their stress levels, offer a fun filled evening and keep them happy,” says Mr. Karthik Rajagopal, Regional Director, South, Fortis Hospitals.
Such events along with improving the mood of the expectant mothers also have positive impact on the baby. Research has revealed music has a soothing effect on the fetus and improves the development of the five crucial sense organs.
