Fortis Hospital, Mulund, launch REACH initiative to offer post-surgical medical care for patients at home

In its continuous effort to offer best-in-class quality medical care to Mumbaikars, Fortis Hospital, Mulund, announced the launch of REACH (Reaching, Enabling And Caring at Home) a homecare initiative that enables patients to avail comprehensive medical services within confines of their homes. Under the REACH initiative, Fortis Hospital, Mulund, will provide a protocoldriven value-added medical care to patients in need of post-surgical care, which will be subsequently extended to other patients as well.

On the occasion of the launch of the initiative, Dr S Narayani, Zonal Director, Fortis Hospital Mulund, said, “For most patients who undergo surgical procedures, discharge from the hospital may not be the end of the treatment; a comprehensive post-surgical care at home may be essential for complete recovery. It is important that the post-surgical care comes from qualified clinicians. Under our REACH initiative, the patients in need of post-surgical care will be able to avail necessary medical care from registered nurses, licensed therapists and specialists who will provide hospital quality service at home”.
