Fortis Malar organizes Free Cardiac Camp for Police Officials

Fortis Malar Hospital today conducted a free cardiac screening camp for Police officials, who work in Adyar District. The Camp was inaugurated by Mr. D. Kannan, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Adyar. Mr. Ashok Thiakarajan, Unit Head – Sales & Marketing, Fortis Malar Hospital and Dr. Paturajan, Intensivist, Fortis Malar Hospital were also present for the occasion.

The Cardiac screening camp was conducted at Besant Nagar Community Hall. The camp saw a footfall of around 150, people who were screened random blood sugar test, blood Pressure checkup, ECG and echocardiogram as well as consultation with Cardiologist and dietician.

Inaugurating the camp, Mr. D. Kannan, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Adyar said, “It gives us immense pleasure to be associated with Fortis Malar Hospital and I thank the management and staffs of Fortis Malar for providing this wonderful opportunity”.

Dr. Paturajan, Fortis Malar Hospital, said, “Long hours of work, irregular eating habits and stress are the causes of developing high blood pressure and diabetes and risk to have a heart attack. This camp helped in detecting cases of high cholesterol levels, blocks, high blood sugar levels and blood pressure.”
